Over the past few weeks, the CAC kitchen has experienced a much needed “facelift” to provide a warm and inviting atmosphere for the volunteers who faithfully serve over 90 meals per day while increasing the efficiency, storage, and safety of our kitchen.
CAC would like to thank Skip and Jane Harrold for framing and coordinating the entire project, Jody Norton from Norco Drywall who donated the labor for drywall/taping/sanding the kitchen renovation, Alden Thompson and Sabbath School class at WWU, in particular, Dan Wolcutt with Sheridan Woodworking and Phill Thompson with Systematic Wood Designs for the construction and installation of new cabinets and countertops, Pacific Power & Light along with the Stubblefield Trust for our new flooring, Doyle Electric for installing the lights, Slavik Kuzmetsov with Meticulous Touch and students from Whitman College who painted, Reiff Manufacturing for stainless steel work and to many of YOU who have given financially to this project. Special thanks to the men staying at CAC who helped with the demolition, prepping and cleaning daily during each stage of the renovation!
We are blessed by the continued generous community support of this ministry as we strive to feed both body and soul of the poor, homeless, and hurting in our community.
